Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Optimize AI Solutions. Design, implement, and optimize GenAI models, ensuring high performance and efficiency across applications.
- Collaborate and Innovate. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, and fellow engineers, to drive innovation in AI-powered products and services.
- Code Development and Review. Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code while conducting code reviews to uphold best practices.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing. Contribute to existing technical documentation, educational content, and internal knowledge bases, adapting based on user feedback and project updates.
- Debugging and Issue Resolution. Identify, analyze, and resolve software and system issues related to AI infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Stay Ahead in AI/ML. Keep up with the latest trends in AI/ML, contribute to research efforts, and explore new techniques to improve Google’s AI ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in software development using one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles with a minimum of 2 years of experience in these areas.
- 1+ year of experience working with core Generative AI (GenAI) concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Multi-Modal AI, and Large Vision Models.
- 1+ year of experience in ML infrastructure, covering model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, and debugging.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in developing AI-powered solutions in text, image, video, or audio generation.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI/ML services, MLOps, and scalable AI systems.
- Experience in building accessible and inclusive technologies.
