As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based energy automation products and components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders, to enhance the overall product quality. Your contributions will have a direct impact on improving energy automation solutions that power industries and communities worldwide.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact
- Perform component and system testing for cloud-based energy automation products.
- Analyze customer-reported issues and provide appropriate recommendations or escalate them to the development team for resolution.
- Design and develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for software components and products.
- Understand business needs, user workflows, and technical requirements to create efficient testing methodologies.
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing to ensure high performance and reliability of SaaS applications (AWS-based).
- Develop and execute test scenarios, prepare test environments, and generate comprehensive test reports.
- Ensure that the final product meets organizational and project quality standards before release.
- Provide insightful feedback on software usability and functionality to enhance the user experience.
What You Bring to the Team
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (B.E./ B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech), MCA, or MSc in Computer Science.
Experience & Knowledge
- 5 to 10 years of experience in software testing within the energy automation domain.
- Hands-on experience in the electrical domain (power systems) and a solid understanding of its applications.
- Expertise in requirement analysis, test design, test specification, and test execution.
- Strong knowledge of setting up test environments for cloud-based applications.
- Experience with functional and non-functional testing of SaaS applications, particularly on AWS.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as MQTT and IEC61850.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools for UI automation and API testing is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge in TypeScript/Java for scripting and test automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
- A quick learner who stays updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
