This is a key role where you will help design, develop, and maintain advanced ServiceNow applications that support the strategic business goals of our organization. Key Responsibilities

  1. ServiceNow Application Development & Maintenance. Spearheading the development and ongoing maintenance of ServiceNow applications to meet diverse business requirements. Your role will be central in crafting high-quality, reliable solutions that add value across various departments.
  2. Collaborative Development Efforts. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers, to design and implement new features and applications that support our organizational goals. You'll play a key role in driving technical innovations and integrations that streamline business processes.
  3. Comprehensive Technical Documentation. Writing clear, detailed, and well-organized technical documentation for each application, ensuring that all stakeholders can understand and utilize the applications effectively.
  4. Mentorship and Guidance. Serving as a technical mentor for junior developers, providing guidance, code reviews, and sharing best practices to help them grow professionally and improve the overall team performance.
  5. Optimizing Performance & Scalability. Ensuring the development and optimization of ServiceNow applications for superior performance, scalability, and reliability in real-world business environments. This includes fine-tuning configurations and scripts to meet enterprise-level demands.
  6. Quality Assurance. Participating in rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to industry best practices, coding standards, and overall quality. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining the highest levels of quality assurance.
  7. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving. Addressing and resolving any issues or challenges related to ServiceNow applications or integrations. This involves a deep understanding of the platform and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  8. Staying Updated on ServiceNow Innovations. Keeping up with the latest updates, releases, and best practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem to ensure that our solutions remain cutting-edge and aligned with industry standards.
  9. Stakeholder Collaboration. Working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, update project progress, and ensure alignment with business goals. You’ll act as a bridge between technical and business teams to ensure seamless communication and successful project execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Development experience. Proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications in a dynamic environment.
  2. Technical Proficiency. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML/CSS, and REST APIs. You should be comfortable working within the ServiceNow environment, utilizing these technologies to build and optimize applications.
  3. ServiceNow Integration Expertise. Demonstrated ability to create and manage integrations within the ServiceNow platform, connecting it with other enterprise systems and applications.
  4. ServiceNow Scripting. In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow scripts, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, and other custom scripting techniques to automate and enhance functionality.
  5. Performance & Scalability Optimization. Experience in optimizing ServiceNow applications for peak performance and scalability, ensuring they can handle large volumes of data and users effectively.
  6. Analytical Skills. Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to development challenges. You should be able to break down complex requirements into manageable, actionable tasks.
  7. Team Collaboration. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders from different technical and business backgrounds.
  8. Attention to Detail & Project Management. The capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen attention to detail and ensuring deadlines are met.
  9. Communication Skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and write clear, concise documentation.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  1. Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) within the ServiceNow platform is a plus.
  2. ServiceNow Developer Certification. Certification in ServiceNow development would be an asset, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to professional growth.
  3. Agile Methodology Experience. Familiarity with Agile development practices, including working in sprints, collaborating with Agile teams, and adapting to fast-paced changes.
  4. Cloud Platforms Exposure. Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms can be a strong advantage, enabling you to work on integrated solutions and leverage cloud infrastructure.
