We are looking for a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join our Retail & Consumer Goods organization. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to gather insights from customers and partners, develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, and guide technical teams to drive impactful cloud solutions. You will collaborate with customer and partner architects, technical decision-makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of cloud-based solutions that optimize performance, enhance customer experience, and align with Microsoft best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Business Impact
- Identify and address technical blockers that hinder solution implementation and cloud adoption.
- Apply business and technical knowledge to create architecture solutions that meet IT and business needs.
- Optimize cloud performance, ensure resilience, and drive solution implementation in production environments.
- Support account teams to align customer priorities with Microsoft’s cloud strategy, ensuring seamless execution.
- Conduct architecture design reviews and resiliency assessments to enhance solution efficiency and security.
- Provide thought leadership in designing, developing, and deploying technical solutions in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
- Guide customers on best practices for optimizing performance and risk management while ensuring compliance with Microsoft standards.
Customer-Centric Approach
- Engage with customers and partners to understand their business and technical requirements.
- Present well-reasoned insights, challenge customers when necessary, and propose alternative solutions that align with their goals.
- Partner with internal teams to design, implement, and monitor solutions that deliver customer success.
- Drive customer skilling and readiness by facilitating technical discussions and adoption of best practices.
- Assist in selecting the best-qualified partners to support customer projects effectively.
- Collect feedback from customers and partners, mapping it to digital transformation strategies and enhancing Microsoft’s product offerings.
- Act as the voice of the customer (VOC), sharing insights with internal Microsoft teams to refine cloud services and drive innovation.
Technical Leadership & Partner Specialization
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor solutions, positioning Microsoft as the preferred cloud provider.
- Develop and execute learning plans to continuously enhance technical and professional skills.
- Mentor and support colleagues, sharing insights and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to Microsoft’s internal communities by sharing strategic insights and technical best practices.
- Represent Microsoft at external events, including conferences, seminars, and technical meetups, sharing key learnings with internal teams.
- Lead initiatives to develop reusable intellectual property (IP) that accelerates solution deployment and enhances best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- At least 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, network operations, software development, or technical architecture.
- Proven ability to work in customer-facing roles, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex business and technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting, or architecture roles.
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience leading technical projects and working with large enterprise customers.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or security certifications).
- Deep understanding of Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem and its competitive landscape.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
