We are looking for experienced and motivated technology leaders to join the Gartner Innovation Tools team. As a key player in this team, you will work on developing groundbreaking growth products, conducting R&D to explore new opportunities, and rapidly delivering high-impact solutions that can be taken to market. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems while working with modern cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers to develop new and innovative products for Gartner’s end-users.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, future-proof technology solutions using modern frameworks and cloud-based architectures.
- Work extensively with open-source technologies to build and deploy high-performing applications.
- Develop robust backend architectures that support scalability and high availability.
- Ensure coding best practices by implementing unit tests, integration tests, and deployment scripts.
- Continuously improve system security, scalability, and performance through innovative problem-solving.
- Partner with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to bring elegant, modern designs to life.
- Leverage AWS cloud services to optimize deployment, performance, and security.
- Implement DevOps practices including Terraform, GitOps (Argo, Helm), Docker, and Kubernetes to automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
- Stay ahead of technology trends and integrate new advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- 12-16 years of experience in developing customer-facing products or web applications.
- Expertise in designing architecture for complex, large-scale systems.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices expertise to develop scalable applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for hosting, deployment, and scaling applications.
- Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Service Mesh.
- Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, GitOps (Argo, Helm), and automated deployments.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns, API design, and performance tuning.
- Deep knowledge of backend development best practices, including security, logging, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to modern front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
- Experience in AI/ML integrations within enterprise applications.
- Understanding of data engineering, streaming technologies, and big data solutions.
- Knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and enterprise-level governance.
