We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master to lead and support multiple Agile teams in delivering high-quality IT solutions tailored for the airline industry. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, extensive experience in Scrum frameworks, and a proven ability to drive successful project execution in IT services, particularly within airlines and travel technology.
As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of Agile processes. You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to facilitate smooth sprint cycles, promote collaboration, and foster an environment of continuous improvement. The role requires a strong advocate of Agile best practices who can align team efforts with business objectives, ensuring that we consistently deliver high-value solutions to our airline clients.
Key Responsibilities
Scrum and Agile Facilitation
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure that teams adhere to Agile principles, promoting self-organization and cross-functional collaboration.
- Guide the teams in effectively breaking down work into manageable sprint backlogs to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Team Coaching & Agile Best Practices
- Act as a servant leader, coaching and mentoring teams on Agile methodologies and Scrum principles.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to reflect on their processes and implement necessary changes.
- Empower development teams to take ownership and drive innovation, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Impediment Resolution & Risk Management
- Identify roadblocks or impediments that hinder the team's progress and actively work to remove them.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, product owners, and stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, and escalations.
- Foster a transparent, solution-oriented environment to resolve conflicts efficiently.
Product & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure that the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
- Engage with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to align team efforts with overall organizational objectives.
- Maintain clear communication between teams and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met and deliverables align with business needs.
Process Improvement & Performance Monitoring
- Drive continuous enhancements in Agile processes, ensuring the teams maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and track key Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and team performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Leverage Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, and Trello to facilitate transparency, tracking, and reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile IT environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and best practices.
- Proven experience leading IT projects in the airline industry (preferred but not mandatory).
- Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills to guide teams in Agile transformation.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering results under strict deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, and knowledge of Agile metrics for team performance analysis.
