Job Description

We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Oracle PL/SQL development, data warehousing, and performance optimization. As part of this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business requirements.

Experience. 5 to 12 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views for handling complex datasets in Oracle databases.
  • Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and migration.
  • Design and implement robust partitioning and indexing strategies to enhance database performance.
  • Conduct SQL performance tuning and optimization using techniques such as explain plans and SQL trace files.
  • Develop and schedule database jobs for automation and efficiency.
  • Perform data migration tasks using SQL Loader, import/export utilities, and other ETL techniques.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed ETL specifications, high-level, and low-level design documents.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, integrity, and best practices in database development.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for smooth operation.
  • Collaborate with application developers to optimize database queries and improve system performance.
  • Document database processes, workflows, and technical specifications for future reference.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and coding for data warehousing projects.
  • Deep understanding of partitioning, indexing strategies, and SQL tuning techniques.
  • Proven experience in database development, including scheduling jobs and data migration.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for integrating front-end with database applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment under minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry (preferred but not mandatory).
