Coforge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gen AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve building advanced Generative AI (GenAI) systems as well as traditional AI/ML models, making use of cutting-edge technologies and platforms such as Azure Cognitive Services and OpenAI. As part of a growing team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI solutions by contributing to the development of large-scale, high-performance systems that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and other machine learning techniques.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and customization of advanced language models and machine learning models leveraging industry tools, products, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Undertake data mining, preprocessing, and analysis of both structured and unstructured data to identify patterns and derive insights.
- Build and fine-tune Generative AI models, such as those utilizing GPT-3.5/4, DALL-E, Whisper, Codex, and other models for applications such as NLP, computer vision, and conversational AI.
- Develop PoCs (Proof of Concepts) rapidly by integrating OpenAI, Vertex, and Bedrock models through Azure or AWS for business-critical solutions.
- Apply machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques to solve complex business problems using large-scale distributed systems, primarily utilizing Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Machine Learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement AI-driven solutions that are aligned with business goals.
- Optimize AI systems for performance and efficiency, ensuring scalability and robustness across different cloud environments.
- Work on continuous improvements and contribute to the research and development of emerging AI technologies, particularly in the areas of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Speech Recognition, and Computer Vision.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with significant hands-on experience in building AI models, particularly in the Generative AI space using technologies such as OpenAI, GPT-3.5/4, BERT, LSTMs, Transformers, and similar models.
- Deep practical experience in applying and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) for a variety of tasks, including question answering, summarization, sentiment analysis, text generation, machine translation, and reasoning tasks.
- Strong background in data collection, data mining, and preprocessing of both structured and unstructured datasets, including text, audio, and images.
- Expertise in cloud technologies and AI platforms, including Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and experience with services from AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with statistical programming languages like R and Python and proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data stored in databases. Scala, Java, or C++ experience would be advantageous.
- In-depth experience with Generative AI tools such as OpenAI GPT models, DALL-E, Whisper, and Codex, including expertise in fine-tuning, embeddings, completions, and moderation tasks.
- Proven track record in developing AI applications that use Generative AI and cloud platforms to create innovative solutions for real-world problems.
- Understanding of text and content representation techniques, including n-grams, bag of words, TF-IDF, word embeddings, and knowledge of sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and other NLP methodologies.
- Solid grasp of machine learning algorithms and experience applying them to real-world problems, with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve complex data science challenges, leveraging statistical knowledge and AI methodologies.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience delivering 1-2 projects leveraging GenAI services such as Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, or Vertex for real-world applications.
- Deep knowledge of advanced text processing, language understanding, and AI-driven reasoning across different applications.
- Previous experience with distributed machine learning frameworks and cloud-based infrastructure for building large-scale AI models.
- Ability to lead AI/ML projects and mentor junior engineers on best practices and new advancements in AI.
