Responsibilities
Solving Client Challenges Effectively
- Understanding client requirements and pain points, developing tailored solutions that provide real business value.
- Managing the entire lifecycle of database solutions, including design, deployment, integration, migration, and ongoing support.
- Ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud-hosted databases.
Agile Planning and Execution
- Creating and implementing agile execution plans for database deployment and provisioning.
- Performing rigorous testing, ensuring smooth migrations to production environments, and managing day-two operations efficiently.
Technical Solution Workshops
- Leading and participating in technical discussions to design and refine cloud database solutions.
- Educating clients and partners on best practices, new features, and emerging trends in cloud database management.
Building Effective Relationships
- Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to CxOs, to drive discussions and ensure seamless database solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Database Administration Expertise
- Hands-on experience managing, monitoring, and optimizing Db2, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and other databases in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, replication, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Experience with database security, access control, and compliance frameworks.
Cloud Platform Experience
- Proven expertise working with AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud database services.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.
OpenShift & Kubernetes Proficiency
- Experience deploying and managing containerized databases on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of container orchestration and cloud-native database services.
Automation & Scripting
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell scripting, Python, or Terraform.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions for cloud-hosted databases.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native database services.
- Familiarity with data replication, ETL pipelines, and cloud data lakes.
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud database administration.
