We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with 2 to 3 years of experience in automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure using Azure services. This role requires strong scripting skills, a deep understanding of Azure security and compliance, and the ability to automate and streamline cloud operations efficiently.
As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and DevOps, to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices within CI/CD pipelines. Your ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance Azure solutions will be crucial in maintaining a highly reliable and scalable cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Deployment & Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure-based solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Optimize cloud environments to meet the business's operational and security needs.
- Maintain and enhance Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSGs) to ensure secure communication between resources.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate tasks such as cloud provisioning, patch management, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Reduce manual intervention by implementing automation strategies that enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Azure DevOps.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage Azure security solutions, including Azure Security Center and Azure Key Vault.
- Enforce policy-based compliance using Azure Machine Configuration and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
- Monitor and mitigate security risks through proactive threat detection and vulnerability assessments.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Utilize Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track cloud performance and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Implement strategies to improve resource utilization, reduce costs, and enhance system reliability.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
- Ensure business continuity by developing robust failover and replication strategies.
Azure Virtual Desktop & Microsoft Ecosystem
- Administer and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for remote work solutions.
- Work with Azure Entra and Microsoft 365 to ensure seamless identity and access management.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams to promote best practices in cloud infrastructure management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience. 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Azure Services. Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Key Vault.
- Automation & Scripting. Proficiency in PowerShell and experience with Bash scripting.
- Networking & Security. Experience in configuring Network Security Groups (NSGs) and securing virtual environments.
- CI/CD & DevOps. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including integrating IaC best practices.
- Backup & Recovery. Knowledge of Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Performance Monitoring. Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to optimize cloud performance.
- Compliance & Policy Management. Experience with Azure Machine Configuration and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
- Collaboration. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and provide technical support when needed.
- Documentation. Strong written skills for creating and maintaining documentation related to cloud operations.
