Xamarin: Error in Layout Orientation

Question

Gooday Everyone, am trying to navigate through a drawer in xamarin but there is an error in layout. the Application runs fine but the layout is jargon. find attached: please someone help me out in resolving this

Check your theme file and remove the windowActionBarOverlay line. Alternatively, you need to put following lines to your layout page 1. Use fitsSystemWindows =true (as you used in your main page) 2. Add paddingTop instead of padding android:layout_paddingTop= "?attr/actionBarSize" Do let me know, if it works

Yeah! using MainLauncher = true to multiple class can create confusion to android system. Use it in the splash screen and on OnCreate function, you can start your activity you wanted. Note: Please avoid showing splash screen for 4-5 seconds, it would be a bad user experience to wait for few seconds, everytime user starts your application. Although, every android app needs a cold start for some few seconds, you should show your splash screen in between for user interaction. I recommend you to use xml file for splash screen. (as you can see in Youtube app, Google Play Music etc)

Hello Amit, can you help me out, in my Main.axml is contained the android v7 support widget which has a drawer layer for the Navigation menu. Now i want to edit the Main.axml to hold also some content and i think am getting all wrong, the whole layout is now jargon. can you assist me on how i can add content ontop of the drawer layout so as to fit in.. you can see the below screenshot to understand what i mean from the screenshot now the drawer layout is at the bottom and i think that is what is causing this because as i added items on top of d layout, it kept on moving down. can you assist?

ya i Used that for the splash screen. but after the splash screen, it displays another page different from what i want. reading on Msdn, i learnt the MainLauncher used elsewhere will overide my splash screen
