Windows form control in explorer browser

Question

How can I put a windows form control in a browser? I found a few tutorials, but none work, I am assuming it is an outdated thing to do. What I am trying to do is use a c# class to manipulate files on the server and display the data to the user.

does this only work on asp, or can i put it into a php page?
