Which is Better MscIT or MCA ?

I have completed My Graduation and i want Expert Advise Which course is Better MscIT(Information Technology) or MCA ?

FYI: There is no certification for Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award. This award is given to the individuals who are doing extr ordinary work in communities like C# Corner and helping other fellow developers for FREE by contributing articles, blogs and answering questions. Hello Kirtan, You can do M.sc (IT) then after completion of M.sc (IT) you can opt directly entry of 3rd year of MCA and in mean while in 3 years you will get two PG degrees in your Hand that will best for your career cheers

MCA is better. One reason being that most software companies prefer MCAs rather than M.Sc(IT)s.

I think M.Sc.(I.T.) is better than M.C.A. Because M.Sc. I.T. is a two year course while M.C.A. is 3 a 3 years course.

Viram, As you said yoursel, there is not much difference. It all depends on how good your personally are. If you're planning pure software, MCA may be the better choice. If you're thinking about some systesm programming, MSc IT may be the better choice. You need to look at the course they offer and see which one you're more interested in.

Kirtan, Jobs are more related to your hands-on experience. As a fresher, when you finish either MSc or MCA, both are equivalent for companies. It all depends on how well you do in a technical Interview. You are on correct path by learning practical experience here on these forums. When you are ready and done with your college, let me know. MCA is better if you plan to be a programmer. MCA focus on application programming while MSC focuses on some system programming.
