What should I do before I start in Xamarin?

Question

Honestly, right now I cannot afford a powerful laptop to start Android/iOS development. But I have a computer which in there Visual Studio 2010 has been installed. I can work with Console, Windows Forms without a problem. Till getting a good computer what should I learn in order to get well prepared? I have basic practice in C# programming. Thank You!
