what is the use of disconnected architecture in ado.net

When we are using the disconnected architecture will it take time(fractions of secs) to connec to database if so will it not a problem

When you want to make application which can run without connectivity of any database server... Means save all entries and data in temparary storage or in Cache and update in bulk when database is connected... Benifit : Application can work fast and alone without sql server Note: you have to update your data with database server once to save data perminant. Mark accepted if it is helpful to you. Overview: In disconnected architecture a DataSet is used for retrieving data from the database. Then no need for maintaining the connection also. All the operations can be performed with the data once retrieved. It won't cause traffic problems while working with the data. Benefits: A) Automatically dump data at client PC B) Not necessary to connect with server C) user data can update and retrieve in dataset and when connection connected, update values with server
