What is the difference between the Implicit and Explicit Calling?

Hi all,

Can any one tell me what is the difference between the explicit and implicit calling of a method?
Like when we put cursor and press ?Alt+Shift+F10 on the Interface we will be able to see the two options.See this example

I'm guessing what you're asking as most of the code appears to be missing in your post. But it's possible for a class which implements an interface to implement a member of that interface in one of two ways, implicitly or explicitly. For example: using System; interface IFirst { void FirstMethod(); } interface ISecond { void SecondMethod(); } class TestInterface : IFirst, ISecond { public void FirstMethod() // implicit interface implementation { Console.WriteLine("Implicit"); } void ISecond.SecondMethod() // explicit interface implementation { Console.WriteLine("Explicit"); } static void Main(string[] args) { TestInterface ti = new TestInterface(); ti.FirstMethod(); // access via class reference IFirst iFst = ti; iFst.FirstMethod(); // access via interface reference ISecond iSec = ti; iSec.SecondMethod(); // must access via interface reference Console.ReadKey(); } } The difference is that an explicit interface implementation can only be accessed via an interface reference (in this case the ISecond variable, iSec). Also the method needs to be qualified by the interface name and cannot have an an access modifier. In contrast an implicit interface implementation is accessed in the normal way (either through a class or interface reference), should not be qualified by the interface name and must always be declared to be public.
