I am little confuse between static class and construtor in C#. is there anyone who can explain ?

For me, static classes are just organization units . The static class is not a type . In other words, they are an aggregation of members similar to the namespace concept but additionally supporting encapsulation (members visibility control) but not supporting inheritance and abstraction. The constructor of a static class is just a procedure (void method) invoked implicitly only once before the first use of any member. Following this definition, the extension method doesn't extend any type. Extension methods are only a possibility to change the syntax of the static methods invocation.

Static class is kind of permanent class. We can't able to create object for that class. Static class method can be called by its class name.method name. Constructor is used to initialise the field in a class. Constructor should have the same name as class.
