Local storage is not an Asp.Net thing , it is a Html 5 feature which can be used with any type of web applications. Like cookies Local storage are saved in browser but capacity of local storage is more , i am not very sure but approx 10mb , so it can make your application really fast and you do not need a server trip. ex window.localStorage.setItem(“CustName”,$(“#txtName”).val()); alert(window.localStorage.getItem(“CustName”));

It is accessible only at client side and not at Server side like a cookie. The data stored in local storage is accessible.
