Hi, Static constructor Static constructor is used to initialize any type of static data of the class or perform action need to be performed only once. Static Constructor is called automatically before the first instance of the class or any static data is referenced. It is called only once for any number of classes instance is created. Private Constructor Private constructor is a special constructor that generally used in class that contains only static members. If class has only private constructors not any public constructor then it is not possible to create instance of the class. Basically private constructor prevents to create instance of the class. If you want to create instance of the class which has private constructor then you need to create a public constructor along with private constructor. Hi , Private Constructor - This is the constructor whose access modifier is private. private constructor is used to prevent a class to be instantiated. But, if a class has other public constructors, then that can be instantiated. A class can have multiple private constructor and can call it by another constructor. For example:- Class Student { int a; private Student() { } public Student(int b) : Student() // Calling private constructor by another constructor. { this.a=b; } } Static Constructor :- Static constructor is used to initialize static members of a class. It is called by CLR, not by creating instance of the class. As it is called by CLR, it is not certain when it is called. But it is called when class is loaded. It can not be explicitly called by code. Static constructor has no any parameter. A class can have only one static constructor.

The purpose of a private constructor is to prevent any external instantiation while allowing internal instantiation, and staticn doesnt allow that. Private Constructor is used whenever a class contains only static members. Static Constructor executes by the CLR not by the object of a class.
