What does the following code means?

return MyDs;
}

MyDs = value;
}
}

//i know that we are using here accessors and mutators. but is this the structure of class or function or what???

if it is a class than it should be like (public class [classname]{} etc) if it is a function than it should be like
(public void xyz(){} )

i am confused with the above structure , what it represents.???

Under the hood a property is really two methods. So this code: class SomeClass { private DataSet MyDs; public DataSet MyDataset { get { return MyDs; } set { MyDs = value; } } } is precisely equivalent to, and is actually converted to, this code by the C# compiler: class SomeClass { private DataSet MyDs; public DataSet get_MyDataSet() { return MyDs; } public void set_MyDataSet(DataSet value) { MyDs = value; } } However, the property syntax is more concise and resembles get and setting a field rather than calling a method. Although the property here does nothing but get or set a private field, properties can be much more elaborate than this and are often used to validate the value that is being set. For this reason properties are sometimes called 'smart fields'. Notice also that properties can be read-only (a 'get' but no 'set') or, more rarely, write-only (a 'set' but no 'get'). It's also possible for the 'get' and 'set' to have different access modifiers. For example, the 'get' could be public but the 'set' private. Finally, one can also have what's called automatic properties: public DataSet MyDataSet {get; set;} Here, the compiler translates the above into something similar with what we had to start with. However, the private field MyDs is instead given a compiler generated name and is not directly accessible from your program.
