Hi When i open Web,config file it does not showing Comment/UnComment option in Toolbar Thanks

The option to comment or uncomment code in a web.config file may not be available in the default toolbar of the application or code editor you are using. However, you can still comment or uncomment code in the web.config file using keyboard shortcuts or by manually adding comment tags. To comment or uncomment code using keyboard shortcuts, you can try the following: Select the code you want to comment or uncomment. Press Ctrl + K, Ctrl + C to comment the selected code or Ctrl + K, Ctrl + U to uncomment it. Or you can open your web.config file in Visual Studio then Right click on toolbar --> Customize --> Select Text Editor

Hello Ramco, Which VS version are you using ? upto 2017 in web.config file does not show comment/uncomment option in toolbar. In visual studio 2019. when you open AppSetting.json then it will show comment/uncomment option in toolbar.

The Comment/Uncomment option in the toolbar of the Web.config file might not be visible because the editor being used to open the file does not support this feature. You can try using a different editor to open the Web.config file, such as Visual Studio or Notepad++, both of which support the Comment/Uncomment option in the toolbar. You can also manually comment or uncomment a section of code by adding or removing the XML comment tags ( ) around the code.
