Web api :format api/controller?parameter= not working

Question

Hi friends when I am trying with this format api not working. Web Api development(.net core 2.MVC) api/controller?parameter= where as when I am giving / in place of question mark it is giving the json result. api/controller/parameter= please help me to fix the above issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi Prasanna, API calls properly. It also responds. might be API authentication is failed from your back end. Add log on your web service and check. From the application side

hi Friends, Actual mistake is I don't use api/Control name is not placed in other controller. So the route conflict was occured and imapcted to this api. http://localhost:12401/api/Entity?keyword=A after placing route format everything is working fine. Thank you all.

Set the break point and cthen hit the url from postman with this url http://localhost:12401/api/Entity?keyword=A and with this code public async Task Get([FromUri] string keyword = "") what you get in string keyword

Hi Jenith, I changed the line with Fromuri the result is showing in the postman when the url is http://localhost:12401/api/Entity/keyword= but I need exact route url i.e: http://localhost:12401/api/Entity?keyword= --for optional http://localhost:12401/api/Entity?keyword=A --for keyword search Please help to acheive with exact route url.

Hi Please try in this way [HttpGet] public async Task Get(string keyword="") { } Just write [HttpGet] above your method and string keyword="" so when there's a no keyword you can get value based on that empty string

Hi Ramachandran, No Route and Route Prefix on controller above.It is a async method called like this public async Task Get(string keyword) { } It needs to be get data through stored procedure based on keyword. api/Entity(controllername)?keyword=A Result should print all data starts with A letter. if keyword not enterd means api/Entity(controllername)?keyword= then it will show all the records. please help me to fix the issue.
