Wasted a day on sql compact edition

Question

I spent a few hours changing from access database to sql compact, only to find out compact wont run off a shared drive... I am running low on time and am no closer to my solution. Would SQLLite be more appropriate?

A bit of testing and so far i have had no read or write errors from 2 computers (1 hosting the db and running the app, 1 running the app and accessing the db file on a mapped drive) The forums on the sqlite page are great too. Thanks a lot for the advice, this is making the project a lot more clean and reliable.

if you need a small db and its just for replacing Access i would recommend you to install SQLExpress its the ultimate response to change from access
