I am using master page.I understood the example which you shared me. I am not able to implement in this. Still confuse me , where to start. Can share some other code example to understatnd about it.. You would have to write code at below places Server side WEB method in any component(user control) code behind which is being loaded in master page? Do you have user control which is used across all the pages, like navigation, menu or anything which runs on every page? Client side javascript method on any js file which is again referenced in master page so that it is available in all the pages. You have to follow the links provided in previous reply.

@Vaghasia , Thanks for your replay . can you guid me .Where should use your code.because i have used master page in my project.I have do some update db (login -AciveUser 0 into 1) for the specific user in Logout page . so i can restrict the other user to access application with the same credential. Login - Activeuser (ColumnName) - 0 -> 1 Logout - ActiveUser(ColumnName)- 1 -> 0 That is working fine.In case user close the browser that (ActiveUser still : 1 ) .So now nobody can access with that credential.In order to solve this problem what should i do. You made reply to my post.but i am not sure where to use that you code. Simply i want onething , i would have to update One column in a table ,when the user close the browser.I hope you got my point ?..suggest me ,In which page i have use that picece of code. Let us divide you problem in 2 parts, 1. First you need to execute somecode when user close browser. The beforeunload event fires whenever the user leaves your page for any reason. For example, it will be fired if the user submits a form, clicks a link, closes the window (or tab), or goes to a new page using the address bar, search box, or a bookmark. You could exclude form submissions and hyperlinks (except from other frames) with the following code: var inFormOrLink; $( 'a' ).on( 'click' , function() { inFormOrLink = true ; }); $( 'form' ).on( 'submit' , function() { inFormOrLink = true ; }); $(window).on( "beforeunload" , function() { return inFormOrLink ? "Do you really want to close?" : null ; }) 2. Calling server side function or web service to update database. If you have a webservice which can take care of updating database, just call that particular web service in above beforeunload method.
