Visible Underscore for Shortcut

Hello everybody, i have a problem with shortcuts using .NET 2.0. I can create shortcuts e.g. for a button with "&". When my button1 name is &button1 i can call him with alt + b. But whats up with the little underscore under the "b"? He becomes only visible when i press the alt-Button. Is there a way to show this little underscore at startup without pressing a button?
