How to store hundred members of information in viewstate of asp.net

Hi Khasim, View state is nothing but a hidden field in the page . If you right click and go to page source you will see the encrypted View State data. If you store something like a data table which contains numerous rows it will cause huge performance issue . View State stores page value at the time of post back (Sending and Receiving information from Server) of your page. View State use Hidden field to store its information in a encoding format. Khasim you can store hundred members of information in your view state in OBJECT format like class type or Collection or Array. Step-(01): Create a class type or collection or array. Step-(02): Store your all values in that type Step-(03): Store that type to view state. Step-(04): Retrieve your information from view state when you need. Hi, Storing a DataSet inside of the ViewState is a bad practice. If the DataSet will hold hundred of records the ViewState will become very big and you'll get a panelty of performance in the browser page load. You can save the data in the Session instead or reload it whenever neccesery.
