Updating fields from SQL DB

Question

Updating fields from SQL DB does not work properly.

It updates the new fields added, but does not delete the previously deleted fields.

Anyone know what the problem might be.

I use the .NET framework

And VS - C

I would be happy for a solution for those who understand the matter.

In the attached example there are 4 fields that I changed the name but they are just more.

And the previous fields are not deleted.

yes, listen a story suppose you have a table that have column let's say Name , then you generated the entity (edmx) and start using that in your code, after some day you realized that instead of Name , i should rename the column to FirstName then what will happen , all your code will break because they were using the Name property. so to prevent this scenario , Entity Framework team have decided to not delete the old property rather generate a new one, and if anyone wants to delete them then they will delete it manually. solution1:- Right click on the property in the edmx entity and delete manually then again right click on an empty area in the edmx designer and click validate model. solution 2:- click ctrl+A which will select all entities in the EDMX designer and click delete , it will delete all entity. now again right click and click generate model from database. it will generate the right entities with updated field this time.
