update panel not working on web server

i have a exam testing page in asp.net 2010 using c#. i used update panel to avoid again and again page loading. i tested this on my local server it works fine . but when i upload it on my web server it is not working , whole page is loading on every buton click. i used butons inside update panel and i am not using master page.
