Type script is essential for angular 8

I just want to ask is it necessary for someone to learn typescript first and then angular ? or we can directly jump to angular .

I already have node Js installed and I have created a folder in E drive with name TypescriptLesson Now when i run this command E://TypescriptLesson>npm install -g typescript it shows below C:\Users\Plan Int>npm install -g typescript C:\Users\Plan Int\AppData\Roaming

ode_modules	ypescript\bin	sserver + typescript@3.8.3 updated 1 package in 1.86s --- now checking tsc --version says tsc is not recognized i use command promot but when i type the same for node js command prompt it shows the version number . but after creating a new directory with mkdir hello and then going to cd hello , when i type code main.ts it says ts is not recognized so i trust i have wrong something with installation

Yes typescript is essential but if you came from a Java or .net background then it will be easier. Typescript follows oops concept which js doesn't. Spend some time in typescript and then jump to angular. Thanks

Hi Mark, It is my personal experience, I have started working in Angular and Typescript both together from last year. Trust me, it would be really beneficial for you if you learn typescript first and it will be very useful. It's because in the end we have to write the main logic of our code in Typescript only. Angular8 will structure your project but in the end we need Typescript to complete those functionalities and core logic for our project.
