Trigger on insert

Question

I'm trying to write a trigger that when a car gets added to my column (autonr) it should automaticly update the risk with a +1 in my (Risico) column. This is how the database is made up. dbo.autos auto nr (PK, int, not null) typenaam (char(50),null) bouwjaar (int,null) waarde (int,null) passagiers (int,null) lidnr (FK, int, null) Risico (smallint, null) dbo.deelenemers auto nr (PK,FK, int, not null) evenementnr (PK,Fk,int not null) Anyone who could assist me with this? I'm a newbie and not yet verry experienced with Microsoft SQL server Management studio.

It is not good practice to use trigger, as it is difficult to maintain the logic and also there will be some performance issue. Still if you want to go head with trigger then you can refer to below URL https://blog.sqlauthority.com/2013/01/24/sql-server-use-instead-trigger/

Thanks for your reply Salman, I tried to get it working, but I failed... I tried to do this but it gives me back error 213. create trigger trRisicos on deelnemers after insert as begin set nocount on; declare @autonr int select @autonr = inserted.autonr from inserted insert into autos values(@autonr,1) END

Also in this article if condition is exists and you can refer that as well. Thanks
