The type or namespace name 'CrystalDecisions' could not be found

Question

Hello ,

I want to use crystal reports in my windows application.I am using vs2010 .

I have already installed SAP Crystal Report for visual studio 2010.

Now I have just added one blank report in my application .But When I build the project I got some errors of following :

The type or namespace name 'CrystalDecisions' could not be
found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

I have also added following references in references .

CrystalDecisions.ReportSource;

CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine;

CrystalDecisions.Shared;

Please help me if anyone knows how to solve it ?

The .NET Framework Client Profile (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc656912.aspx ) is supposed to be a subset of the full Framework 4.0, optimized for client applications. I'm therefore surprised that it doesn't include Crystal Reports which is still very popular though, personally, I don't care for it. Anyway, learnt something new there :)

Earlier Application's target framework was pointing to " .Net Framework 4 Client Profile". Then I just changed it to " .Net Framework 4". And error got Disappeared.

Just wondered whether you'd added the using directives as well as the references to your project: using CrystalDecisions.Shared; using CrystalDecisions.ReportSource; using CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine;

I am developing Windows application.It doesn't have Web.Config file . Are you taking about app.config ?
