The Page loading take time

I have 2 Lacs of records im C# asp .net i am using for that Sql Index and Pagination but the pge is slow how i resolve the issue

How much time does you query take ? if the query is taking 4-6 sec but when it is called from c# app then the page is taking more than 15 sec time to load, it would mean, there is UI loading issue? what controls are you using to load data and how much data at a time?
