textbox size shrinks

hi, in my web form asp.net when i click on submit button my textbox size shrinks ...can anyone give me a solution so that i can maintain its size...

i got the solution: my textbox was getting shrinked because of respone.write Response.Write(" alert('Request Is Pending') "); i changed it into ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(this, typeof(Page), "anything", "alert('Request Is Pending');", true); now its working fine

Use IE Developer Tool (F12) or FireBug to inspect element(textbox), I guess style is overridden by other css class.. Does this happen on every browser?

Have you tried setting the height and width in css? Also have youe tried removing the % sign from the width property in your control? as it stands you have: try this instead: or you could try:

its single line text box not multiline... single line text box is getting shrinked...i changed it and tried for multiline too but still getting shrinked

You can either do it by setting it directly in the style attribute OR make use of the CSS style sheet. If you want to disable resize for all the ASP.Net Multiline TextBoxes. OR textarea { resize: none; } ------ Hope this will help you and please mark as correct answer if you found solution.
