Hi Ramesh, ViewData :-It is similar to ViewState in asp.net webforms. We can use it similarly to ViewState. It stores the value as Dictionary Key-Value pair. ViewData["Employee"]=employee; But there i one drawback that it requires type casting.It i used to pass data from Controller to View and from View to controller.Its lifetime is within same request,so it cannot be used for passing data from one page to another.It does not store any data on client side like ViewState. ViewBag :-It is a dynamic property.So we can use it as ViewBag.Employee=employee; Internally it uses same dictionary as ViewState.So if we store data in ViewData ,we can access the same in ViewBag and vice-versa .It does not support compile time checking,so we can get a runtime error if property name is wrong.Its life time is same as ViewData. TempData :-It is used to pass data from one request to another.Internally it uses session.So if we disable session state for a controller we will get an error.Its lifetime is only the subsequent request.To retain its value after subsequent request,we can use Keep method.After the view is completely rendered its value is garbage collected.
