Static Class usage

Why and when should static class be used ? What is the advantage of using static class ?

The utility classes in an application are wehre we write static classes to put common functionality and call those utilities without creating objects. System.Math is an example of static class when we call the method of Math classe. We don’t use Math object, we directly use Math.Add(). In the application we can create common reusable functionality and call it without creating objects .

when we need to maintain utility functions like send email, log exceptions or remove special charectors in coupleof pages and tstaic class can contain only static functions we cant creatre object for static class

Hi, A static class is basically the same as a non-static class, but there is one difference: a static class cannot be instantiated. In other words, you cannot use the new keyword to create a variable of the class type. Because there is no instance variable, you access the members of a static class by using the class name itself.
