show row on the selected index on datagrid in aspx

i was trying to code a lablel wich shows the row text in the selceted index on the datagrid, but i did not make it, can any body give me the code which can make such thing.thanks in advance

Hi, I assume you know how to select a row within a datagrid. Then in order to get the values of the current cell. int columnNumber = this.dataGrid1.CurrentCell.ColumnNumber; int rowNumber = this.dataGrid1.CurrentCell.RowNumber; object cellValue = this.dataGrid1[rowNumber, columnNumber]; label1.Text = (string)cellValue; Hope it helps somehow. Hi, I am quite confuse. Your 1st and 2nd post sounds different. Geez.. maybe i have a bad english :( Do you want to get the values of the row selected in datagrid and display in a label? Or is it something else? Thanks.

yes, i mean, i have adatagrid and i have an index over it done by the property, so i can select any row on that datagrid. the point is is want to to write a spasfic row text (let us say that is the 3rd row) on a label or a text box. so when i do that i m just able to write the number of the index not the text and the include!! so how i can write the text of that row on a label. thanks for your help in advance
