SharePoint Online Approval Workflow

Question

I have created a Out of Box Approval workflow in SharePoint online but i need to modify it like .... I want to be able to assign the workflow to 2 people but have the system consider the flow approved when only 1 of the 2 people approve the workflow (not both). We already have a serial and parallel workflows which can be sent to more than 1 person and require both to approve, so need this flow to act differently. See prior teamsite - the task is considered completed when 1 person approves it. For example: workflow is sent to you and me. I approve the workflow first - you don't have to do anything - system considers it approved.

There is no specific option with that kind of label. But when you add the workflow make sure to add Approvers as a SharePoint Group. Then Uncheck the Expand Groups checkbox. That way all the approvers in a specific group will share one task. Any one member can approve the task. The capability to control this more tightly was available in SharePoint 2007 where you could specify how many approvals were required. But that was removed from the default workflow in 2010.

Create a SharePoint Group Add all approvers to the gorup Assign the task to SharePoint group Task will be considered approved, when any one of the approver approves it.
