Required resources for Tablet PC application development

Hi,
Can anyone help me out for the following.
1) I would like to know the required s/w to be installed on development machine for database applications?
2) I got installed VS.NET2005 and SQL Server 2005 right now. How does c# supports for development? 
3)Any recommended Tablet pc devices?
4) Should I install window vista?
5)  Please suggest some best references.
