Register users by sending invitation to them in Azure Ad b2c

Question

I have a application which is running on Azure Ad b2c authentication. I have a requirement to register users by sending an inviation link to them.

Currently microsoft doesn't provide this feature.

This can only be done by implementing custom policies.

I am not getting this properly,

Kindly help me.

Hi, I don't understand this question and you need to clarify what you want to achieve. you say you are using Azure AD authentication - which is only possible for the users which are on Azure AD. you also say you want to send invitation link - for what? invitation to create a user in Azure AD? why do you need an invitation? If you have users on Azure AD already, they can be directly authenticated in your program using some 2 line of code without any need to register them anywhere.

I understand now, but what you want is more that password or Azure AD integration. If you go with Azure AD, only those users who are already on Azure AD can use your system. Are you sure you want this? Otherwise, if it is any email address in the world, then just format a URL link with a GUID which corresponds to the user's email id for one time use, when URL is clicked take user to set up password page.

Hi Nilesh, Thanks for the reply. Well, what I want to achieve is , I want to restrict that users can't register themselves by clciking on signup on azure ad b2c.Users can only be register when I send them an invitation link with their email. by clicking on that link they will be redirected to azure ad b2c registration page where they can set their password only. In short I want to send users a signup invitation link like when we add a guest user on Azure Ad b2c. You can refer this link. https://wingtipgamesb2c.azurewebsites.net/Invitation/Create

I have web app in react js. When send email api which is made up in .net core, called from react app I want to send azure b2c sign in link to that mail. So how I can achieve this?
