Read Tab Delimited Txt And Insert Database(SQL)

Question

C#.net Web Applications:
i have text file like this.

Employees.txt

Name: Prakash Age: 23
Post: Engineer Exp: NO

Name: Chirag Age: 26
Post: Doctor Exp: NO

And So On....

here i need to get the values and store into database .
sqltable is like this

id      Name          Age     Post Exp
1      Prakash        23         Engineer NO
2      Chirag 26         Doctor NO

Searching for solution since too long but everywhere i got disappointed so please help me out from this please...

hi, In the case file format remain same but file also contain some junk character then you can use string.startWith method to identify whether the line is valid of not if (line.StartsWith("Name:")) { // code here }

Hi sir; It's not like that but file format will be the same as shown above but superwiser mean to say that file can contain some of unusual line so you'l have to neglect those line so just wants logic for that sir.. thank you sir.

hi, i think you cannot write dynamic program that support all type format that you think. I means to file format may vary from mind to mind so it is very difficult to write program that support all file format. how can we identify which type of file is imported by use?

suppose my text format is like.. chirag ch@gmail.com 12wd prakash fhg@yahoo.com fdfe nikhil dfr@gmail.com we34e then i know the way to insert data into database but aint used stream reader and read file by readAllLine but my superviser says that what if... chirag ch@gmail.com 12wd prakash fhg@yahoo.com fdfe ------------------------ sdsjd dfr@gmail.com we34e then does your code work??? i said simply "NO". So now i just wants to change my answer from NO to "Yes".

It's not possible to change format of my text file because it contains thounsands of line that's why i need the logic. thanks for your opiniona nd effort sir :)

I suggest you to save data in the text file in your format like, id Name Age Post Exp 1 Prakash 23 Engineer NO 2 Chirag 26 Doctor NO Then it will be easy to parse the text file.
