"The system cannot find the file specified." in asp.Net MVC

Question

I have created asp.Net MVC application (code first approach). If I run Index.cshtml file, then it arises following error message in the browser.

"The system cannot find the file specified"

Error Shows in this line

Line 26: db.Standards.Add(standard1);

If it runs successfully, then it must create Database in App_Data folder. But this Index.cshtml is not running successfully. Please guide that how to resolve this problem.

In Visual Stusdio 2015->File->New->Project->Asp.Net Web Application, Name of Project:Note7Page55->Seelect MVC option->ok.

Hello Make sure that your index.cshtml file is inside student folder in view section Like : Student // Controller folder inside view section - index.cshtml // which is view for the student controller Let me me know the result after its solution Thanks

I have updated my web.config file as follows:- "conStr" connectionString= "Data Source=Dinesh\Aaradhya;Database=Infosys;User Id=sa;Password=test123" providerName= "System.Data.SqlClient" /> And I have updated SchoolContext.cs in Model Folder as following:- using System.Data.Entity; namespace Note7Page55.Models { public class SchoolContext : DbContext { public SchoolContext() : base ( "conStr" ){ } public DbSet Standards { get ; set ; } public DbSet Students { get ; set ; } } } After this changes, code is working successfully. But as per the article on this link http://www.entityframeworktutorial.net/code-first/database-initialization-in-code-first.aspx The base constructor of the context class can have the following parameter. 1) No Parameter 2) Database Name 3) Connection String Name When I want to create a database using 'no parameter' in base constructor of the context class, then how can I write my connectionstring in web.config file. Is it required to change my above mentioned code? If I write above first mentioned base constructor of the context class with 'no parameter' in SchoolContext.cs of Model Folder, then 'The system cannot find the file specified.' error will come. How can I write base constructor of the context class without Parameter?

Hello You can quick apply one solution That right click on Controller method index, and right click Than choos option "Go to view" If you go to exact location of the view than its fine, problem is not about view Thanks

In my example, I have created "School" controller. Inside School controller, I have created Index() method. After that I have right click on Index() method. And selected 'Add View...' option. Hence inside View Folder, there is School folder. And Inside School folder, Index.cshtml file is available. Please clearify me. If I am wrong, then please suggest me.
