Problems with installing the C# windows application

Question

Hi,
When running my setup I get a message "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem and the window with the message stays for several seconds and then dissapers" and "Setup has stopped working".

Can anybody help me please.

if you pass null or empty string value file will be empty

It's up to you how you would solve the problem You can add try.. catch for each method and add the method call in catch statement, later check the log file and get the method in which the error has occured

I made a new class in my project with the code you wrote me. But I don't know where to write this LogUtility.Log("Your variables values here"); in my cs file, in which class. Sorry but I don't have much experience in C# programming. Thanks again

Create a class Class LogUtility { internal static void Log(string Value) { using (StreamWriter WriteObj = new StreamWriter("c:\MyLogFile.txt", true)) { WriteObj.WriteLine(Value); } } In your project you can log using LogUtility.Log("Your variables values here"); Its better to use exception handling and to use the above line of code in catch I hope that's what you were asking

In your case a simple code will do the job internal static void Log(string Value) { using (StreamWriter WriteObj = new StreamWriter("c:\MyLogFile.txt", true)) { WriteObj.WriteLine(Value); } } Hope it helps

Their is an exception in code which is unhandled , Best practice to solve is to use a log file.
