Picture through webcam not working

Question

Recently i have created an app to capture images through webcam in xp using VS 2005 and it works fine but it's not working in win7 using VS 2010 it gives error:

"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {4EC4272E-2E6F-4EEB-91D0-EBC4D58E8DEE} failed due to the following error: 80040154."

For that i used two interops
1.Interop.WIALib
2.Interop.WIAVIDEOLib

i have already registered the wiaaut.dll using regsvr32 .
Any idea! please help!!!

Hi Suthish, As you said i checked the path in common,office12 and in ofice14 there is no dll like Interop.WIALib and Interop.WIAVIDEOLib and in my application i have taken this by adding reference in com object. Any suggestion, please help!!! and Sam, it is already in x86. so any idea?

Try changing the project's platform target to x86 (if it is x64) then rebuild and try. Be sure to change the project's platform target for the Release configuration too.

Vijay, Most of the xp interops do not supports Win 7. you need to find the interop for Win 7. Also, we can try on settings to run the COM but this will create performance issues. Try for Win 7 dlls.
