PDF with Formfields

Question

Hello everybody,

I am fairly new in programming with C#.
I did some Java, Javascript and php before though.

I have a searchable PDF with a whole lot of formfields. Every formfield has an ID.
Let's say we don't know the names of the ID we just know they have an ID.

What I want to do is to loop through that PDF file and get the value from every formfield with an ID.

Is that possible?
Idealy the values get saved as a variable with the same name like the ID of the formfield.

At the moment I am very clueless to be honest...

I hope someone can give me some advices.

In order to read PDF files you will need to use a library that is able to read these files and parse its contents. One such library is the LEADTOOLS PDF SDK (https://www.leadtools.com/sdk/pdf) which has .NET classes to read form field content from your PDF file. (Disclaimer: I am an employee of the vendor of this toolkit). The code to extract the form field information in C# using LEADTOOLS would look like this: using (PDFDocument document = new PDFDocument(pdfFileName)) { PDFParsePagesOptions options = PDFParsePagesOptions.FormFields; document.ParsePages(options, 1, -1); foreach (PDFDocumentPage page in document.Pages) { IList = page.FormFields; // You can then process the form fields here } }
