Pass Dynamic data to View

Question

I have mvc web application in which I passed the dynamic data to view which is coming from db context.

Which will be the better approach either use expando object or viewbag/viewdata ?

Current code :

Viewbag.List1 = context.getlist1();

Viewbag.List2 = context.getlist2();

Viewbag.List3 = context.getlist3();

Viewbag.List4 = context.getlist4();

ViewBag.string1 = string1;

ViewBag.string2 = string 2;

I am trying to change code like

dynamic tempModel = new ExpandoObject();

tempModel .List1 = context.getlist1();

tempModel .List2 = context.getlist2();

tempModel .List3 = context.getlist3();

tempModel .List4 = context.getlist4();

tempModel .string1 = string1;

tempModel .string2 = string 2;

And pass tempModel to View.

Hi Sunny Bhor, If ( your view contains other entities which are not in "ExpandoObject" class ) Then prefer viewbag/viewdata. And ofcourse I can suggest ViewModel concept too. else If ( your view contains only "eExpandoObject" entities ) Prefer ExpandoObject object passing to view. Note : For viewbag you dont want to go for typecasting & Null checks as needed for viewdata. Based on the policies of typecast need and conditional checks you have to choose either viewbag or viewdata. If the answer helps accept please. Else come up with your query. Thank you.

If you recevi data from database in parts it will slow.If you recive data at a time from database not slower

I was thinking for ViewModel but that is not suitable in my case. In One object there can be 3 list of same model or there might be 5 list, sometimes there is empty set. We were preferring viewbag/viewdata previously but application view rendering part slows down so we are looking for alternative if you any let me suggest

I think ViewBag will be more flexible .Because for model you have to define it and bind by calling in view
