No connection could be made because the target machine?

Question

Hello,

I want to transfer zip file in from one computer to local server but its getting error.

My application is a desktop windows application.

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused"

How to resolve this issue?
Please help me.

@Ankit You must provide relevant information to resolve your problem. Share the shared path and filename that I mentioned earlier. Check sourceFile name exists in your parameter using File.Exists (filename) and shared folder using Directory.Exists (folderName). If possible, also provide the screenshot

Now its getting error in same code:- The file 'xx.xx.x.xxshared' already exists. but file not seeing in shared folder.

What is the value you are getting in File.Copy( fileName, txtIP.Text + "shared" ); And what is the shared path on your LAN

Hey Ankit At first, just make sure that the target machine has read/write access. Second, why don't you try simplier using File.Copy ("filename", "urIpAddress"+sharedpath); Try debug your code and lookup at the exception message that restrict file creation.

Yes. When i typed ip in Run so, it was accessing the machine.
