Need to set the color of an element using a variable with javascript

Hi, Please help me to use a variable inside e.cellElement.css("backgroundColor", "var(---" + result.value + ")"); using javascript. I am able to get the color value in the variable "result.value". But its not changing the color using the variable name. I am able to change the color, if I am writing the color name directly inside .css(). @Hanusha are you getting result.value as any color name like red/blue etc , if yes then it should definitely work .it is working well for me. If var is working for me it should work for you as well , the problem might be with the data you are getting in your success function. use two dashes instead of three e.cellElement.css( "backgroundColor" , "var(--" + result.value + ")" );
