Using the correct C#.NET naming conventions, what are the correct names to use for the const decimal hourly rate $2.50? A) HOURLY_RATE B) hourlyRate C) rate D) RATE I already know that A is correct and B is wrong. I am undecided between C and D. Thank you to whoever could help me.

Actually the statement " A is correct and B is wrong" is not the correct assessment. A is widely used compared to B. So you need to make sure only one point here. Every one in the team to use a single standard. Different people using different standard is the problem. So define a single standard, which is widely recognized and then make sure that all are using only that standard.

There is not any fixed rule which can be applied during namin conventions in C#.Net. We should care about restrictions which can not be used during naming a variables. As it will give error. The another thing is it should be meaningful and it is required when you or someone open program after a long period. You can write your variable name as Hourly_Rate also. It depends upon you. Some developer gives prefix as datatype short name during naming convension for easy understanding of the kind of data to be stored.
