mvc simple issue ?

Question

Hi I am trying gridview sort of thing in MVC everything is fine but issue is when i click on edit on particular row the row no should be passed to the editing method . But when i clicking edit on particular row its returing me null to controller which have method EDIT with id as parameter ? i am confused stuck donno what to do ? any suggestions This link contains what i am trying : CRUD OPERATIONS Regards

Hi Jaganathan Bantheswaran You links helped me in different way . Thank you very much . The solution to my issue mentioned above is very simple just need to add "ID " attribute in @html.Action link in view page . so we can pass the Id value of select row to the controller the to db Thank very much for your support

Jaganathan Bantheswaran those links are cool but thing is i don't need crud operations on some grid . i am just doing some normal operations but i created controllers have create , update , delete methods . . I don't need a big code just a expert advice or some 2-3 line code help how to pass the correct values to the method in controller . Thank you

no i havent done anything like that . i knew i need to pass the value to action method in controller i.e edit . but how . seriously in asp.net with gridview i know one way using inbuild methods i may have done . but in mvc how to do it .. from view to controller which has method i guess we need to use on of the methods i.e view bag or viewdata or tempdata or whatever just help me to get a idea so the parameter int ? id in controller edit method gets the selected index . Regards
