MVC sessions

Question

Hai all, i m doing small project in MVC for my acadamics.in this my pages are executing in dividually in perfect manner .however i m facing problems with sessions .hope you people save me in my first page that is registration page i have to catch couple of deatils like email and name in sessions and pre bind it in 3rd page (2nd page is login as usual) and registartion page's id should carryout in 4th and 5th pages so i can pull the records of a particular user in last page .i cmpltd tables and stored proc and other code in front end .i faced same scenario in .net but i found solution with your help.i here i m confusing alot. all i need to is how to prebind sessions values in textboxes where should i write code ..how can i insert user id from first page to last page ...like wise.. TIA

This is not a best practice: You should store the values in database and retrieve after login. But to answer the question, you can use below code: I am giving example for Name: On Registration Page Session["userName"]=Name; On Display Page: Or else: Create a Model using database for particular user and fill it on load (while display)

You can use client side state management technique to store your value and fetch it from next page. Thank you sir for your reply.my intesion is same .but email = dr["email"].ToString(); Session["email"] = email; i wrote like this to catch"email".my problem is when i need to fetch same email in another page load (that is in 3rd page textbox)i cant retrieve it and i dont know where and how to write code .can you please help me out TIA
